Dear History majors,

You and your friends may be interested in this CUNY-IBM Watson competition, in which teams of students make proposals for how higher education and other public services in NYC can be improved through technology.  The prizes range include internship opportunities (as well as cash!).  A representative from IBM Watson will be on campus on Thursday, Sept 18, 12:30-1:30 in RO 230 to talk about the competition.  See below for links to more details.

I would like to invite you to take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to engage in a multidisciplinary student team competition which will enable you to prepare for future careers and engage with students across CUNY.
 
On Thursday, September 18, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, a representative from the IBM Watson Team will be visiting Queens College to brief students interested in learning more about the CUNY-IBM Watson Competition. The meeting is open to all Queens College students and will be held in Rosenthal Library, Room 230. The competition will award a total of $10,000 in cash prizes, with the winning team receiving a $5,000 award. The top three teams will win cash prizes.
