Event Details: In addition to reforming American economic and foreign policy, President Woodrow Wilson inaugurated an astounding number
of practices and programs that still survive—from the Federal Reserve System to the legacies of World War I. Following up on his November 2013 talk, Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer A. Scott Berg, author of
Wilson, returns to discuss this compelling and enigmatic leader’s many “firsts,” especially those that have endured for a century.
This program will include a book signing afterwards with the program speaker. Books will be on sale in the museum Gift Shop.
This conversation is presented as part of the Bernard and Irene Schwartz Distinguished Speakers Series at the New-York Historical
Society.
