To whom it may concern:
I wanted to send out a reminder to let your students know about the opportunity to submit their work to the Spring 2017 edition of History Matters Undergraduate Journal of Historical Research. We have already begun to receive some great submissions, but we are still looking for more. There is still plenty of time to submit by the January 17, 2017 deadline, and with the end of the semester approaching, now is the perfect time for your students to submit any recently completed term papers or senior theses that they are proud of.
Started by a student at Appalachian State University, our journal's mission is to find and publish the best undergraduate research in the field of history. We accept roughly three percent of the papers that we receive over the course of the fall and winter semesters. We then publish these selected papers in an online journal every May. No paper is published without undergoing a thorough editorial process, which includes the input of distinguished professors from several history departments.
Please feel free to visit our website at historymatters.appstate.edu for more information and to access past issues. If you or your students have any questions, please feel free to contact our editorial staff at this e-mail address. We look forward to working with you, your department, and especially your undergraduates.
Best regards,
Sarah Patrick
