The
Diversity Scholarship aims to foster diversity in the labor movement and in the field of Labor Studies. This competitive scholarship is for the MA in Labor Studies or BA in Urban and Community Studies (labor
track). Deadline: March 31, 2015.
In the MA
in Labor Studies, students examine the debates and challenges affecting working people and unions. We offer:
- A world-class faculty: Ruth Milkman, Joshua Freeman, Stephanie Luce, Ed Ott; Stanley Aronowitz, Frances Fox Piven, Stephen Brier
- Dynamic classes: Organizing, Labor history, Law, Bargaining, Globalization, Immigration, Special topics (Worker Coops, Labor and climate change, Media and Journalism) and more.

Union Semester is a mentored internship for college graduates and undergraduates, at a union or worker organization. Interns take 4 labor studies courses and receive:
- A weekly stipend, in-state tuition rates and a scholarship
- A Certificate; an unlimited Metro Card
