Dear History majors,

The Queens Historical Society is currently accepting applications for Spring internships on a rolling basis. This is a great opportunity if you're interested in archival work and museum education. For an application please email education@queenshistoricalsociety.org,  or call (718) 939-0647 ext. 14.
You will be also asked to provide a resume and an unofficial college transcript with your application.

You can find some more information on the QHS below:

"As a repository of collections on the history of Queens and Long Island, the Queens Historical Society documents, preserves, and presents rich and diverse aspects of the history of Queens for the education and enlightenment of its more than two million people. QHS thrives with help from our volunteers, who take on a central role in assisting with various aspects of the organization. All students are encouraged to apply, and most of our internships focus on Education/School Tours, Public Programming, Collections/Exhibitions, and special projects as needed. While focusing on these areas, students will gain excellent first-hand experience with a desirable resume-building assignment in a museum setting. Scheduling is flexible--office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00AM-4:30PM, and museum hours are Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday2:30-4:30PM"

The internships are not paid but college credit can be arranged through the History department. Don't forget to let me know if you get the internship.

All best,
Prof. Bregoli
