Do you love going to museums? Would you like to be a museum insider, planning events and enjoying behind-the-scenes access? Are you interested in working at a museum but not sure where to start? If so, then the Rubin Museum of Art’s College Committee is for you.

We are seeking dynamic and dedicated college students to serve as volunteers for the College Committee. Working closely with Rubin staff, members will meet monthly to discuss university engagement at the museum, share professional development advice, and plan the annual Museum College Career Workshop. 

Applications for the 2017–2018 College Committee are due Sunday, August 72017.

The site-specific installation Le Corps Sonore, which makes the museum space itself an instrument of transformation, is the centerpiece of the Rubin’s exhibition The World Is Sound. In this conversation moderated by curator Risha Lee, artists Laetitia Sonami, Bob Bielecki, and Éliane Radigue (via Skype from Paris) will discuss their creation, its connection with Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, its interaction with other artworks in the museum, and its place in their long careers as innovators in electronic music and sound art.
