Hi, Claudia. Do you think you could share this announcement from the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) with the GLIS-ANN listserv? I think it would be of interest to students and faculty in the archives track as well those with interests in audiovisual materials and cataloging/metadata.

The PBCore: A How-To and Why-To webinar will take place on Thursday, October 23, at 2 pm. It is free and limited to the first 100 registrants who sign in. We don't know how many people will sign in, but in case it exceeds 100, it will be recorded and can be consulted later.

You may have seen calls for participation in a survey of both PBCore users and non-users. One of the survey findings was that many archivists and librarians either don't know about this metadata schema and data model or did not fully understand its use and application. The webinar addresses these gaps.
