Hi guys, Please note that it is up to the faculty member, *not students*, to ask permission from other faculty to allow students to miss a part, or more, of their class because of a presentation outside of our Curriculum Space. Those contacted need to know at least a week in advance and should be informed, in detail, of the reason[s] for the request. A request such as this imposes an extreme burden on faculty and should be used sparingly. Finally, please don't forget that permission is not automatic; it is up to each faculty member to decide to agree or not. -- chirp elt Dr. Thomas T.
