Despite having had a retirement party a couple months ago, I have been on pre-retirement Travia leave until today. Evidently the higher education unions convinced the NY legislature to let faculty use accumulated sick and vacation leave for a semester off at full pay which is called Travia leave for the name of the sponsoring legislator. You’re also welcome to visit with some advanced notice if you are not phobic about dogs, and I am looking for well-behaved children and non-phobic adults to come and help me socialize my new puppy, Everedi’s Night Stalker (aka Gibson). While I think I’m too old for a new puppy, I have a friend plus his breeder co-owning him with me in case they are needed, but with my two older females turning 12 and 13 just last week, I wanted a buddy for Nugget, who’s only 6 in October. I’ve attached his photo in case it can get through the spam filters. I hope some of you will take me up on the invitation. I do have to say after 1.5 weeks home with him, I now know why middle aged women should not have babies, and I’m way past middle age, but I love him to pieces already!
