Gslisadjuncts APA Curr Space & Internship event still on--LISSA wine & cheese rescheduled due to snow
Dear colleagues, A reminder that there will be two important events held tonight, Monday, 2-8-15; the LiSSA event has been postponed. An introduction to APA Style will be held in the President’s Conference Room #2, in Rosenthal Library during Curriculum Space, 5:45-7:10. Regular 3:55 classes will end early, and 6:40 classes will begin late, to accommodate these special events. New York City Small Business Services will be on campus on Monday, February 8th from 4pm until 7pm to conduct interviews for 4 paid internship positions they have available. They will be located at a table outside of the PC Computer Lab (Rosenthal 240). They will conduct interviews in the GSLIS Conference Room within the GSLIS office. Please see flyers below. A Welcome Back Wine and Cheese Mixer, sponsored by LISSA, has been postponed to Feb. 22. Please see flyer below. The introduction to APA Style, with an emphasis on citations and references, is especially important for students in LBSCI 701, and for those in required core courses who have no previous experience with the 6th edition of the APA Style Manual. It should serve as an important refresher for any students needing to brush up on their APA skills, especially for those enrolled in LBSCI 709. We hope to see you there! Claudia A. Perry, MLS, Ph.D Associate Professor Director of Admissions Graduate School of Library and Information Studies Queens College, CUNY Flushing, NY 11367
