Gslisadjuncts Classroom Problems
Hi guys, There have been a number of complaints about the assigned classrooms this semester. The person who used to do the scheduling has retired and a new person has been given this responsibility. The result has not been good; faculty in many departments have found themselves assigned to rooms that are too small, lack necessary equipment for teaching, have poor or limited internet access etc. In addition, more sections have been scheduled during the times when we teach which has increased competition for limited space. We have already made a number of complaints regarding our class assignments for this semester. If we were the only ones in this situation it is likely that something would be done to ameliorate it. However, I am not optimistic that anything will be done. That said, I intend to continue to complain loud and often in the hope that someone will listen and act. -- chirp elt Dr. Thomas T.
