Surprenant: The Library of Congress Office of Strategic Initiatives is pleased to announce the launch of the first-ever U.S. national calendar of training opportunities in digital preservation, at: http://loc.gov/dpoe The calendar is a service of the Library of Congress Digital Preservation Outreach and Education (DPOE) initiative. It lists an array of continuing education courses and workshops nationwide, including formats (online, onsite, etc.), locations, cost ranges, dates, and contact information. Many offerings are free or low-cost. The site is designed to be user-friendly. Training providers, for example, can submit a course through a simple Add a Course feature.
