Your help as Department Chair is crucial in ensuring this initiative reaches all our faculty members. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a teaching approach that fosters inclusion by removing barriers and providing flexibility. Professional development in UDL has been recommended in the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, and other federal legislation. * UDL Online Training The CUNY Innovative Teaching Academy is developing an asynchronous training course in Brightspace that demonstrates UDL guidelines through examples of course design, content, tools, activities, research, assessments, and software demonstrations (when applicable). This training will cover the newly updated UDL Version 3.0 guidelines, and nine modules will be released throughout the 2024-2025 academic year. We would like to find a facilitator for the following campuses: Baruch, Bronx Community College, College of Staten Island, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and New York City College of Technology.
