Reply-To: This electronic discussion list serves members of the New York Library Association <nyla-members@lm.nyla-omc.org>

NYLA partners with several community colleges around the state to provide a nationally unique introductory training program for library support staff – library clerks, assistants, technicians, etc.  These training programs will be offered in May at Nassau,  the Summer at Onondaga, and the Fall at Westchester.

NYLA provides the curriculum and sample handouts and pays instructors $100 per teaching hour.  For more information about the courses visithttp://www.nyla.org/page/library-assistanttechnician-training-program-140.html.

So if you are interested and live in those areas (Nassau, Onondaga and Westchester – because we don’t pay for travel), please send me your resume by January 20th.   And let me know which course (s) you are interested and qualified to teach.  Thanks.
