Could all faculty/adjuncts please communicate the following message to your students, either in class or via Blackboard? Please encourage them to stand for election.

Thanks,

Subject: Fw: General elections for QCSAA and QCLISSA e-board positions

Hello,

General elections for the QCSAA and QCLISSA e-board positions are quickly approaching!!

Both clubs will be accepting nominations until Wednesday April 5th, and campus wide voting will be held April 16-20th.

Being on the eboard is a great way to get involved with the GSLIS department and help shape the clubs' visions and programming. It's also a great way to make friends and develop useful leadership skills. Board positions follow the academic calendar with elections held annually in the spring. Eboard officers will be awarded a modest honorarium by the GSLIS department to recognize their service.

The clubs will host a virtual nomination meeting on Monday, April 3 at 7pm for students who wish to nominate themselves or others for positions on either club. If you are interested in running for office, please fill out this form: https://bit.ly/2023-GSLIS-student-clubs

Feel free to email either saaqcny@gmail.com or qclissa@gmail.com if you have questions and/or can't attend the nomination meeting.

With best regards,

Julia Keiser
