As the new Writing Center Director, I’m reaching out to introduce myself and our new Writing Center Coordinator Annie Roustio. Annie and I are excited to announce that Queens College Writing Center tutoring begins today, Monday, September 18th! 

 

We invite you to share the below memorandum and attached graphic flyer with your faculty, instructional staff, and students. Please note that, while we’ll be supporting students on a walk-in basis for the coming weeks, we’re working towards integrating an online scheduling platform to better support student writers. We’ll reach out with that information as it becomes available.

 

We encourage the QC community to check our website regularly and email us with any questions at qc.writing.center@qc.cuny.edu.

Writing Center Memo 

 

The Queens College Writing Center opens for walk-in tutoring on September 18th!  At the moment, all appointments will be held in-person in the Writing Center (KY 229), with virtual consulting set to resume shortly. We look forward to working with you! 

 

Hours* 

M 11am to 6pm 

T 10am to 1pm, 2pm to 6pm 

W 11am to 6pm 

Tr 10am to 6pm 

 

*Last appointment of the day begins at 5pm. Hours are subject to change.

 

Policies 

  • Appointments will be available on a first come first served basis. At this time, we are not reserving appointments ahead of time via phone or email.
  • Appointments will begin at the start of the hour and may last up to 50 minutes.
  • Past 25 minutes into the hour, no appointment will be booked for that hour and we’ll ask that you try again at a later time.
  • At this time, students may book only 1 appointment per day and no more than 2 appointments per week.
