Your division is doing well, as indicated in the chart below (as of November 18th). The provost’s message from November 10th is attached, and includes simple instructions for book adoptions. It also notes that, for courses where the instructor has not been determined or does not have a CUNYfirst account, book information may be forwarded by e-mail. Could you work with your division colleagues to be sure that the attached message reaches all prospective winter and spring instructors? The bookstore receives many hundreds of online requests pertaining to missing textbook information. From Elizabeth Hendrey, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs:
I am forwarding a reminder from Akademos, the online bookstore, to submit your book adoptions for winter and spring semesters as soon as possible. It is important that book information be available to students when they register for their courses. The information you submit to the online bookstore is automatically uploaded to CUNYfirst. For courses where an instructor is not yet assigned but the book choice is known, we ask that the department forward the book information directly to qcbookstore@akademos.com<mailto:qcbookstore@akademos.com>. The instructions for submitting book information are provided below. Your timely submissions are of great benefit to our students. Thank you for your assistance. ______________________________________________________ A message from the QC Bookstore: Dear Faculty and Staff, We thank you again for your ongoing partnership with the online bookstore and look forward to continuing to provide great savings to your students. To date, your timely textbook submissions have saved students over $260,000 off publisher list prices. If you are unable to log in to the bookstore, or if you have any issues adding your adoption to the site, please email your course and text information to qcbookstore@akademos.com<mailto:qcbookstore@akademos.com> for processing and confirmation.
