Due to a cybersecurity incident affecting CUNY’s Central Office, we are taking proactive steps to protect the integrity of our systems and data. It is imperative that you change your CUNYfirst password immediately.

 

Please follow the instructions below to update your password as soon as possible:

 

  • Go to the CUNYfirst login page: https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu
  • Click on “Forgot Your Password?” or “Change Password” (depending on the option presented)
  • Follow the on-screen instructions, which will include: 

·         Entering your CUNYfirst Username (e.g., Firstname.Lastname##) or EMPLID

·         Verifying your identity via the security questions

·         If you do not remember the answers to your security questions, please select "I am unable to remember my answers" and an email will be sent with a link to reset your password

·         Creating a new password that meets the following criteria: 

·         Minimum of 13 characters

·         At least one uppercase letter

·         At least one lowercase letter

·         At least one number

·         At least one special character (e.g., !, @, #, $)

·         Must NOT be among your last 4 created passwords 

  • Confirm your new password and log in to ensure the change is successful.
