Hi Mary K,

Thanks for including so many of my suggestions.

I know that you included "When papers are posted on Blackboard or emailed, they identify the student and the assignment."

My understanding of Lauren Barnes' suggestion earlier this  week was that this information be included as part of the naming convention, so that the instructor (or whomever is attempting to access the file), can readily identify the file in question just from its file name, which seems like a real time-saver.

So, perhaps instead, maybe this could read:

"When papers are posted on Blackboard or emailed, the file name identifies the student, assignment and class (e.g. 701PerryFinalppr.doc or similar)."

Lauren also proposed that if the Checklist is distributed, these rules also should be followed, e.g. pages numbered.

This seems like a good idea to me.

Just a thought since these really are such valuable guidelines and I think will help to make everyone's lives  so much easier.

Many thanks for considering this and pulling all this together!
