Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, CUNY

 is delighted to announce that the New York State Education Department has approved

 an additional Library Media Specialist program to be offered at GSLIS.

Our new Advanced Certificate in Library Media Specialist

is a 27 credit post-master’s certificate program for students possessing an MLS

        who wish to pursue NYS Library Media Specialist teacher certification

 but who are not yet certified teachers in New York State.

GSLIS continues to offer both a 36 credit MLS/Library Media Specialist program

 for students who already possess prior New York State teacher certification 

as well as a 45 credit MLS/Library Media Specialist program

  for students who are not yet certified teachers in New York State.
