Dear colleagues,
In conjunction with the discussions of how to handle fall syllabi, members of the Curriculum committee were asked how to handle ePortfolio issues. As was announced in late spring, our ePortfolio platform, Epsilen, has filed for bankruptcy and is no longer being supported.
The College has yet to determine what platform will be used for managing ePortfolios, so we are in a state of limbo for our own ePortfolio program.
Therefore, please remove all mention of Epsilen for managing ePortfolios from your fall syllabi. Students should be advised to archive their own work from this semester for possible inclusion in future ePortfolio initiatives, once this issue has been resolved.
In addition, students and faculty are strongly encouraged to take down all materials posted in their existing Epsilen accounts to protect the privacy of this information (as previously announced), since we have no way of removing this at an administrative level.
Many thanks for your attention to these issues.
