Implementation Day One Set for March 31, 2013!

The Library of Congress has announced that they will fully implement RDA: Resource Description and Access by March 31, 2013. The U.S. National Agricultural Library and National Library of Medicine, as well as the British Library, Library & Archives Canada, Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, and National Library of Australia, will also target early 2013 for Day One of their RDA implementation. The Library of Congress announcement was also accompanied by the release of their long-range training plan (PDF). The institution is sharing its training plan to help others prepare for RDA implementation.

RDA Toolkit Essentials bimonthly webinars are for anyone new to RDA Toolkit who would benefit from a tour of the product or others who would benefit from a refresher on one or two aspects of it. The hour-long webinars cover topics such as login, navigation, search, and user-created content and conclude with a Q&A session. RDA Essentials is free and open to everyone.
