Dear Students,
METRO offers dozens of opportunities each year for library students to engage with library professionals in the region. METRO’s annual ALA President’s Forum is one such opportunity.
During the event, the current candidates for ALA President, Susan Stroyan and Maureen Sullivan, will talk about themselves, their platform, issues facing the profession and answer informal questions. Although Susan Stroyan is unable to attend in person, she will join us via video teleconference.
This event is an excellent opportunity to meet and talk with the candidates and other influential librarians. There is no fee to attend and I encourage you to attend and offer your views to the candidates.
