“Turd in the bowl or not” as JFK put it “Courage — not complacency — is our need today. Leadership not salesmanship.”

Well done, Tom, well done.

Subject: Gslisadjuncts A Recommendation

Hi guys,

Last week during the faculty/staff meeting with the president he asked for creative recommendations that would make a difference.  I opened my big mouth and said that, given the horrible salaries of adjuncts that we should offer free parking -- ah, the turd in the punch bowl.  They are scheduling a number of so-called "interactions" over the next months to address issues concerning how to improve the image etc. of the campus.  Rest assured that, even if I feel that I am yelling in a vacuum, I will continue to harp on this issue.  You guys are super and they, the administration, should begin to recognize it!
