Dear faculty, friends and students,
Many of you should have already known that our beloved Virgil passed away on Aug 13th. Professor Virgil Blake was a member of the
Queens College community for over thirty years and served as GSLIS
department chair for two terms before his retirement in 2010. We will have the memorial service on Sept 30 (Friday) in Twoomey Lounge of Rosenthal Library, starting at 2:00 pm. Please join us to celebrate the life of Virgil.
