Honored Guest:  Lucille Thomas, Founder of School Library Month

Guest Speaker: Tonya Bolden, award winning author of  Maritcha, A Nineteenth Century American Girl, MLK: Journey of a King, Tell All the Children Our Story:Memories and Momentos of Being Young and Black in America, and many other fiction and non-fiction books for children and young adults.

Tonya will discuss her newest book, Emancipation Proclamation: Lincoln and the Dawn of Liberty, as well as her experiences speaking with students and librarians, highlighting the role that school library programs play in a student’s educational career.
