Dear Information Professional,
Would you consider writing an article for NYLA’s Journal of Leadership and Management Section (JLAMS)? Or suggest to one of your colleagues or students that they submit a project for a Peer Reviewed article?
JLAMS was created in order to provide New York Librarians access to some of the wonderful thinking and research taking place in the Empire State. In addition to helping to disseminate best practices and best thinking, we want to encourage research in library science within the state, nurture research abilities, and help improve professional writing among our peers.
We are now looking for articles for the Fall 2013 issue of JLAMS, although there is still time to get something in the Spring issue. We solicit original articles which will be peer reviewed as well as shorter, 1000 - 2000 word articles which will be reviewed by the editors. We would be happy to receive a spin off article from some of your other work. You can read our editorial policy, check out our previous issues, download a proposal sheet from our NYLA web site at http://www.nyla.org/lams , or just reply to this email. JLAMS is in its ninth year of publication and looks forward to hearing from you to keep us going. For further information contact our editor, Richard Naylor, at naylor@ColonieLibrary.org. or associate editor, Roger Podell at RPodell@wsboces.org .
