Subject: Fall 2022 research classes and orientations in U.S. history, local history and genealogy at The New York Public Library
Dear Educator
I am contacting you on behalf of The Irma and Paul Milstein Division of United States History, Local History and Genealogy at The New York Public Library (NYPL) because we previously hosted
a class visit by you and your students.
In preparation for the launch of our
Fall 2022 series of classes and orientations, we would like to invite you to review the Milstein Division’s upcoming classes, as they may be of interest to you and your students. In the classes you will see described by subject specialist librarians research
methodologies, examples of materials in NYPL collections, document analysis, and how to navigate the various NYPL collection access points.
While our current programs are online, we are also able to host in person visits at The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, the NYPL flagship research branch on 42nd Street and 5th Avenue.
You can find the registration form to request a class at this
link.
If you have any questions about arranging a class visit or research orientation, or if you'd like to discuss ideas for collaboration, please reach out to us at
history@nypl.org or
make
a consultation appointment with a Milstein Division librarian to get started.
You’ll find additional information about what we offer and how to get in contact in the attached pdf.
Many thanks,
Philip Sutton
