We are collecting the syllabi of courses
offered by GSLIS in 2013 Fall for COA's revisit. Please send me a copy

Also, starting from the
2013 Spring semester, for the 4 core courses, 709, and also a few other
courses, students must construct an Epsilen ePortfolio with a Learning
Matrix (see attachment). Students will continue to update
their ePortfolio/Learning Matrix in every course they take until they
graduate. The ePortfolio/Learning Matrix course requirement is part of
students' Participation grade in each course and failure to maintain the
ePortfolio/Learning Matrix in every course will result in a lower grade
in the course in question. Starting from this semester (2013 Fall), we
will implement this requirement to all courses. In previous semesters,
Prof. Linda Cooper was the additional assessor (i.e., in addition to the
instructor) for accessing students' ePortfolio, in this semester (2013
Fall), please instruct students to list me and Dr. Colleen Cool as the
additional assessor.
We will have an Epsilen ePortfolio workshop on the orientation day.
This is the first semester that we require ePortfolio to be used in all courses. We will discuss more about the implementation strategy in the first faculty meeting, to be held on Aug 29. Instructors can inform students that there will be more details available very soon.
