Dear colleagues, Thanks to all our friends, family, students, alumni and colleagues for the marvelous retirement send-off Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. in the Twomey Lounge of Rosenthal Library! It was a lively and light-hearted get-together complete with crazy hats and great conversation. We appreciated that so many were able to attend, as well as the contributions and good wishes of those who could not join us. The retirement party exceeded our expectations in every way, and was a very special way to launch us into a new phase of our lives. A special thanks to the Special Events Committee: Bobby Brody (Chair), Joe Sanchez, Johnathan Thayer and Shu-Heng Wu, and of course Bridget Kavanagh, Amanda McKee and Simone Yearwood! Gslisadjuncts LBSCI 709 Orientation on Wednesday, April 19 (5:45pm - 7:15pm) in President Conference Room #2 (5th Floor in the Rosenthal Library)

Dear GSLIS Students: If you intend to take LBSCI 709 - Research in Library and Information Studies Course in the 2017 Fall semester, you are expected to attend an Orientation to help you prepare for the class. The orientation for LBSCI 709 will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 (5:45pm - 7:15pm) in President Conference Room #2 which is on the 5th Floor in the Rosenthal Library. The Orientation will take place during the "Curriculum Space" from 5:45pm to 7:15pm. The "Curriculum Space" is a time set aside for activities for our students designated by the GSLIS faculty. On that day, early classes will end at 5:45pm (instead of 6:30pm) and late classes will begin at 7:15pm (instead of 6:40pm). Best wishes, Dr. Harry Kibirige & Dr. Ping Li
