Gslisadjuncts Student Learning Outcome Assessment Form

Dear Colleagues, Every semester, we collect student learning outcome assessment using an online excel form. If you are teaching in this semester (2016 Fall), you will receive an individual link, pointing to an online excel file, with the names of students of your class already filled in. An example of the excel file is attached with this email. GSLIS has 9 SLO (I.e, A1, A2, B, C, D, E, F, G, H). They are listed on the second tab of your online excel form for your convenience. If a particular SLO is not intended to be covered by your class, please simply assign score 0, otherwise, the scores will be: Does not fulfill 1 Partially fulfill 2 Fully fulfill 3 The same instruction is also printed in the beginning of your online excel form. When you fill in the form, you only need to assign scores to what you think to be the most important SLOs of your course. It can be just a small subset of the SLOs stated in your syllabus. In fact the most important SLOs you assign scores to can be different from the SLOs stated in the syllabus if it is based on your judgement and experience from teaching the course. All the scores are for internal assessment purpose, students and their grades will not be affected for the scores. I will send the links of the online excel forms to each instructor individually in a few minutes. Please fill in the form no later than Jan 6, 2016 (The same deadline of grade submission).
