Dear students, Today was supposed to be the QC English commencement ceremony, and many of you were looking forward to walking across the stage in celebration with your family, professors, and fellow students. The ceremony is by far and away my favorite time of the year, and I join you in deep sadness that we are not able to be together at this time to celebrate your accomplishments. An email is a wholly inadequate substitution for a commencement ceremony, but I do want to offer you my sincere congratulations on this day. Please know that I am thinking of all our wonderful graduates and wishing you the very best for the future. Very shortly, the Acting Chair Prof. Karen Weingarten, will be sending out a more substantial tribute to your accomplishments, so I encourage you to look for her email.
