Dear students, On behalf of the English department, welcome to the Fall semester! Whether you are returning to the English department, or have newly joined us, I am delighted that you are studying with us, and I look forward to meeting more of you individually in the weeks to come. For those of you whom I haven't met or written to yet, I am the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the department, and am here to help you with any aspect of advisement you may need. Any time you have any questions about your degree, or if you have any concerns or issues you'd like to raise, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me, or Prof. Weingarten, the Chair of the Department. We are always more than happy to help in any way we can. Starting on Wednesday September 11, we will resume our weekly meetings of the English Department Undergraduate Club. It meets during free hour in Klapper Hall 334, and is a social space for our English majors and minors to meet, hang out, eat lunch, and chat about all things English. On September 11, please join us for the first meeting of the semester, with pizza and drinks to celebrate the start of the new academic year!
