QC Voices<http://qcvoices.qwriting.qc.cuny.edu/> is hosting a reading today, and *you are invited to listen or read* You can join in bringing a short piece of your own writing to read. It can be anything! The audience will be supportive, and we'll be glad to see you. And whether or not you want to read, you are invited to come hear your friends and colleagues read, and we'll have pizza for all. It's in Powdermaker 114, from 12:15-1:30! 2. QC Voices<http://qcvoices.qwriting.qc.cuny.edu/> is hiring writers for next year, and I hope you’ll apply if you * Think of yourself as a *writer* by some definition of that word (or are beginning to think of yourself that way); * Have energy and ideas that you want to share with the QC community; * Will be a student-- graduate or undergraduate-- next year; and * Would like to learn how to work with editors to publish your writing for an audience at QC and beyond. Job: Write for QC Voices QC Voices<http://qcvoices.qwriting.qc.cuny.edu/> has room to add new writers in the next academic year (2019-20), and all QC students— graduate and undergraduate— are eligible to apply. Students who are interested should take a look at QC Voices<http://qcvoices.qwriting.qc.cuny.edu/> for a sense of the wide range of topics and styles we publish. Then apply! Writers who work for QC Voices<http://qcvoices.qwriting.qc.cuny.edu/> publish six columns each semester on a topic that they design, and they attend five workshops. The salary is $600 per semester.
