Dear English Majors,

Thank you to everyone who nominated and submitted a supporting letter for an English faculty member. It was wonderful to read about all your experiences in the classroom and the things you've learned from our faculty. The committee had a hard time deciding who to put forward to the Division of Arts & Humanities, but at the end Professor Roger Sedarat and Professor Jeffrey Cassvan received our nominations. I should note that it's now up to the teaching award committee to decide who will ultimately receive the award. Professors Sedarat and Cassvan will be competing with other faculty members in Arts & Humanities. 

I will be saving all the letters you wrote, and I hope that in future years I can use those letters to support faculty members who didn't receive the prize this year.
