I believe that (probably) all of you were copied on this, but please get this information to your students ASAP. There is an explanatory webinar this coming Friday. The deadline for next summer program applications is January 22, and the deadline for next academic year programs is February 15 (applications become available on January 16). Hello CUNY Colleagues!

                                                                                                                         

I am reaching out to you to announce the launch of recruitment for the CUNY Cultural Corps 2017-2018 programming for alumni and students. If you are not aware of what CUNY Cultural Corps is, please read the announcement about our partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs and The Rockefeller Foundation to fund internships here. A little over a week ago more coverage about our program was featured on Fox 5 news, which included some interviews with CUNY Cultural Corps members placed at Carnegie Hall.

 

Attached please find information to help you with recruitment (upcoming webinar dates, FAQs about the program, application dates, etc.), or with passing on the information to other colleagues who may play a more active role in such recruitment. On December 1, we launched our application exclusively for alumni of CUNY (from spring 2015 to individuals graduating spring 2017) to participate in the 2017 Cultural Corps Summer Intensive. The application is on our website, and can also be found here.

 

On December 16 we will launch our application for current students to participate in our 2017-2018 Academic Year Internship program. Please refer potential candidates to our website (www.cuny.edu/culturalcorps) to check for the application on that date, or encourage them to sign up for our listserv (on the website) to receive an announcement when that application is opened.

 

Please direct students/alumni to view this previously recorded webinar so they can learn more about the program. They will also have a chance to join a live webinar on January 12th. In the spring Cultural Corps also hopes to have in-person recruitment events, so stay tuned for information about those dates.
