Dear English Majors,

Every year Queens College gives us out teaching awards to our faculty, and these awards are primarily based on who students nominate for these awards.

If you'd like to nominate one (or more) of your professors for a teaching award, please send me an email (karen.weingarten@qc.cuny.edu) by October 12 with the name of the professor you'd like to nominate. I'll also need you to write a letter in support of the professor, but I won't need that until the following week. Professors with the most nominations will have their names (with supporting letters) forwarded to the Arts & Humanities division for the final round of the competition.

This is your chance to let the Queens College faculty and administration know which of your professors inspired you and taught you new ways of thinking about literature, writing, and the world. I hope you participate in putting forward your favorite professors' names.
