My name is Balkis Chaabane and I am the Editor-in-Chief with
IVolunteer International.
IVolunteer International is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with headquarters in Savannah, Georgia with operations worldwide. Our mission is connecting volunteers to volunteer projects
in their local communities around the world. Since 2017, we have connected over 4,000 local volunteers to local projects. Read more about our impact,
here.
In our efforts to expand the outreach to more youth to raise awareness on volunteerism and further enhance the skills of writers around the US, I am reaching out to you with an internship
opportunity that students may apply to with IVolunteer International.
Our Internship program, the Writers’ Council, is launching its second call for college students (open to all, but students studying Professional Communications, Writing, English, Journalism
are highly encouraged) in the United States. As interns, students will contribute to our organization in raising awareness about volunteerism, volunteer stories, interviewing executives of international organizations, youth leadership, current affairs, human
rights, and much more. Students will have the ability to maintain a portfolio of their articles on our website forever, which can be added to their writing portfolios later on as well.
Please find attached with, a document explaining our internship more, what we offer, what the requirements are, and how to apply. For further information, please take a look at our
website.
Our
blog
also features our past interns and the pieces they’ve written.
Please pass this along to students in your departments so they are aware of this opportunity. If you need more information, please feel free to reach out to me anytime.
Thank you.
