Please share this Disney information with your students.

Greetings!
I hope each of you has had a terrific summer. It was wonderful seeing so many of you during the
NACE Conference in June here in Orlando. Of course, we are now at the doorstep of the fall semester.
On our end, we are gearing up for the recruitment season for spring 2020 opportunities. Now is the perfect time to share with you some key information as we head toward the opening of our applications.
You will find important season recruitment dates below. Additionally, I have attached our
Disney Internships &
Programs “Fact Sheets” to utilize however you wish. These can be distributed to your peers and students alike.
Important Recruitment Season Dates:
·
Disney College Program
(DisneyCollegeProgram.com)
– Our application opens Monday, August 19th. While I do not have a firm closing date to share at this time, I would anticipate it occurring around the third week of October. I will keep you informed of a specific date once I have it.
·
Disney Culinary Program
(DisneyCulinaryProgram.com)
– The fall 2019 application is now open. As a reminder, we primarily have Cook internships available for this program with extremely limited Baking & Pastry roles. Competitive candidates should have completed at least one full year of their culinary
education prior to applying for consideration.
·
Disney Professional & Management Internships (DisneyInterns.com)
– Many of these applications will
open in mid-August. However, there will be other “PI” postings throughout the recruitment season so students should be encouraged
to check the site periodically for additional opportunities. Remember, we always encourage qualified students to apply as soon as possible since closing dates can widely vary. Management Internships specifically are only open for a brief period of time.
Other Important Information and Reminders:
·
Student
Questions – If you have students with specific questions you are unable to answer, please direct them to
Support.DisneyPrograms.com
for assistance. This site is a terrific resource for students and includes articles addressing many frequently asked questions as well as a direct connection
to our team should they have other more specific inquiries.
·
Disney Education Connection
– Don’t forget about our educator site -
DisneyEducationConnection.com.
This resource provides a wide array of content, including comprehensive information about our Education offerings, how to order complimentary marketing collateral,
access student arrival communication and so much more!
·
Educator Site Visits – I’ve been receiving messages from many of you about scheduling an educator site visit at some point in 2020. It’s always exciting
to receive those requests! All information to help you plan for a 2020 site visit
(including block-out dates)
will be posted on the Disney Education Connection site by September. At that time, you can begin requesting a visit. As a reminder, all site visits are hosted during the weekdays of Monday through Thursday during non-blocked out periods.
Most importantly, please do not hesitate to contact me directly should you have any questions. It’s such a great pleasure partnering with you and I cannot thank you enough for all you do to support
students interested in our opportunities.
Good luck with the start of your fall semester!
All the best,
Jeff
