NYC Census 2020: The 2020 Census is around the corner, and there is almost no greater civil rights issue of our time. Everything from political representation from the most local level in our City, to our State, to our precious seats in Congress, all the way to our fair share of $650 billion+ in federal funding for housing, education, healthcare, and more, is determined by the Census. The stakes are incredibly high - New York stands to lose up to two congressional seats as a result of the next Census, and, if under-counted, would certainly lose its fair share of federal funds, as well. That's why the de Blasio Administration's NYC Census 2020 office is seeking the best and brightest to join their team. Together, they need to work hard to ensure that New York City - especially the harder-to-count communities of color and immigrant communities - is fully counted and represented.
