Attached is announcement for a public reading hosted by QCVoices and open to all QC students— next Wednesday, May 8, during free hour. This an excellent opportunity for you to share your work and get some practice reading it for an audience that is 100000% supportive.

Here’s how it works; Students bring a short piece of their own writing in any genre— an excerpt from an essay, a poem, or a short personal reflection, a song, anything— and they put their name on a sign-up sheet. Then we run down the list, listen to each writer read their work, and give sincere applause for all.

There is also pizza. The exact amount of time allotted for each writer varies a bit, depending upon how many people come, but it’s usually 3-5 minutes. 

It is always a lovely event!
