Dear students,
I am delighted to invite you to the 2019 English department graduation ceremony, Thursday May 30, at approximately 12.00pm. The ceremony will be held in the Goldstein Theater
on campus, and is open to all graduating students, friends, and family.
There are two ceremonies on the day: the main ceremony on the campus commons, and the English department ceremony. The department ceremony will begin after the main ceremony
on the campus commons has concluded (it usually ends around 11.00am-11.30am). Our start time of 12.00pm is therefore approximate; we will begin when all students and their guests have arrived. The ceremony lasts approximately an hour, and light refreshments
will be served afterwards. Students will receive an English department certificate at the ceremony, and have their official graduation photographs taken. Academic regalia is not required, but it is encouraged.
You do not need to reserve tickets for this event, nor is there a limit to the number of guests you invite (although seating is on a first come basis); however, it would help
with planning if you could briefly
RSVP here.
Congratulations to our graduating class of 2019, and I very much hope to see you at the ceremony! As always, please don't hesitate to contact me
