Dear All, I hope you'll forgive this intrusion into your overstuffed inboxes. I'm writing to let you know about our ninth annual New Critics Undergraduate Literature Conference, which will be held on the SUNY Oneonta campus in Oneonta, NY on April 14. We are now accepting abstracts (deadline for abstracts: March 16), and we would like to issue an invitation to your students to submit work for consideration. Please see the attached CFP poster. In addition to any work of specifically literary criticism, we're also happy to consider critical papers that may have come out of Africana and Latino Studies classes, Women's and Gender Studies classes, popular culture studies, etc. Our conference is held at no cost to attendees, and even includes a free lunch for presenters. An additional draw--We're most excited to have, as our keynote speaker this year, Dr. Lawrence Jackson, from Johns Hopkins, a noted scholar of African-American literature, history and culture. You can see his faculty bio here. http://english.jhu.edu/directory/lawrence-jackson/ <http://english.jhu.edu/directory/lawrence-jackson/> Please let me know if you have any questions, and please do consider encouraging your students to submit abstracts by the March 16 deadline.
