Dear students,
I’m writing as the faculty Internship Coordinator in the English Department. I want to be sure you know about the career-related resources on our department site:
http://english.qc.cuny.edu/undergraduate/horizons/
I encourage you to check these out to see if any of the opportunities will be helpful for you. In addition, you should check out the resources offered by the Office of Career Engagement and Internships<https://www.qc.cuny.edu/StudentLife/services/career/students/Pages/Student.…>. It’s a good idea to make an appointment with a Career Engagement counselor even if you’re not currently applying for jobs. The counselors are very good at helping students make the most of their resumes, considering what kinds of opportunities they want to pursue, and preparing for interviews. If they get to know you, they’ll think of you when opportunities come along.
Note: If you are doing an internship during the fall or spring semester, you can enroll in our internship course for credit (as an elective). If you are interested or have questions, you should write to me.
Sincerely,
Jason Tougaw
