Dear English majors and minors, I'm writing to invite you to our first virtual meeting of the English Undergraduate Club! In the Before Times, the club used to meet every Wednesday in Klapper Hall during free hour. It was a chance for English majors and minors to meet each other, chat, and hang out. Although Klapper is closed and Zoom fatigue is kicking in, I wanted to see if there was any interest in having a virtual version of the club meet every Friday for the remainder of the semester. Here are the details for our first meeting: Friday, October 16, 12:30pm-1:30pm https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83897420371 I'll be there for the first five minutes or so to moderate and get some information, but after that I will leave you all to get to know each other. I know it is particularly hard this semester to get to know classmates, and I know Zoom isn't a great substitute for being together, but let's give this a shot. Dear Colleagues: Good news! The CUNY MFA in Creative Writing Affiliation Group is moving forward with the postponed Chapbook Festival! It will take place, digitally, in the Spring semester, 2021. Request: would you please send out word to your students that the CUNY Chapbook Festival will happen, all online, in the Spring. We would like SUBMISSIONS of "pandemic chapbooks": that is, chapbooks made since March 2020.
