As you may remember we are an English teacher training school based in Barcelona and run monthly TEFL courses for English speakers who are looking to teach English and travel. I feel this could be a potential opportunity for many of your students who have a passion for language, would like an additional qualification and may be looking for summer work / travel options. Dear English Majors and Minors, Please see below for summer internship opportunities: As expected our Spring Programs in in Paris, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco are now closed. There are a handful of remaining places in London, Paris and New York, however we expect to close those locations in the next two weeks. All students are eligible for some aid, but the overwhelming amount of applications we have received means we will be re-assessing our aid contributions at some point during the Spring. My name is Lena Kesden. I’m reaching out as the Recruitment Assistant for the Avodah Jewish Service Corps<https://avodah-dot-yamm-track.appspot.com/Redirect?ukey=1MyFiaN4LfbxtI0v4aq…>, a year-long program for recent college grads that provides the opportunity to build the foundations for careers, an active Jewish community, and lifelong activism in social and economic justice movements. We are currently seeking individuals 21-26 with a strong interest in anti-poverty work and a desire to learn in an inclusive Jewish framework. I believe students in your classes would be strong fits for this opportunity! Our Corps Members build real world expertise through work placements with Avodah’s partner organizations in Chicago, New Orleans, New York and Washington, D.C. They contribute to our partners’ work on crucial justice issues such as immigration, hunger, education, public health, and domestic violence while developing activist chops and Jewish social justice insights through Avodah’s trusted, innovative curriculum. During the year, Corps Members live and learn in the dynamic Avodah community. The program provides a monthly living stipend, travel allowance, health insurance, and subsidized housing, in addition to a year of professional and leadership development. After the year, participants will access activism, professional development, and Jewish opportunities for life through the Avodah alumni community.
