If you have not done preregistration before, it's a great opportunity to secure a spot in your classes before general registration begins at the beginning of November. My name is Xhesi (“Jessie”) Domi and I work in the Office of Institutional Advancement here at QC. I coordinate a program called Professionals on/off Campus in which we connect distinguished alumni with current students. I wanted to reach out in regards to a cool opportunity for English students. Mary Murphy ‘81 from PIX11 News will be hosting students at the newsroom on Friday, October 18. The students would arrive at 11:30am for a tour of the newsroom and will get to see them produce a Facebook “Live” show through the control room with Emmy-award winning journalist John Muller! The midday show begins at 1:00pm, so students can anticipate the visit to last between 2/2.5 hours. It would be wonderful if you can share this with your department and students. Our mission is connecting volunteers to volunteer projects in their local communities around the world. Since 2017, we have connected over 4,000 local volunteers to local projects.
