Greetings! The English Department at Queens College is seeking enthusiastic and driven students to become members of the English Matters editorial team. Our newsletter seeks to advocate for how the study of English Literature enriches all of our lives, by way of documenting the various activities in our busy department, and we want a few select students to create articles about the continuous scholarship and creativity that occur within the department; moreover we would like to read about special stories from and about current students. If you would like to join our team, please shoot us an email with your name, contact information, expected year of graduation, and a brief paragraph about the best thing you've ever learned in an English class. [Englishstudents] Pre-registration for English majors, minors, and graduate students

Preregistration for undergraduate English majors and minors will take place in Klapper Hall Room 601 on Monday Oct 29, 12-3pm; Tuesday Oct 30, 11am-3pm; and Wednesday Oct 31, 12-2pm. A full course list is now available for review on CUNYFirst, and detailed course descriptions will be posted in the coming weeks on the bulletin board on the sixth floor of Klapper. Students are also invited to submit requests for preregistration via email during these dates only (sent to sian.silyn.roberts(a)qc.cuny.edu<mailto:sian.silyn.roberts@qc.cuny.edu>). Emailed requests MUST include the following: * Student's full name * Student's CUNYFirst ID number * The list of requested courses (up to three for the Spring semester, and one for the Winter session) * The four or five digit course code of each course Email requests received before the preregistration period begins, or that don't contain all the required information, will not be processed. MA students wishing to preregister for graduate courses should contact Prof. Orchard, the Director of Graduate Studies (william.orchard(a)qc.cuny.edu<mailto:william.orchard@qc.cuny.edu>).
