Hello everyone! Are you writing a thesis this spring? Are you interested in doing a thesis about household finances? This spring, I will be running a thesis working group that will focus on household finances. We will mainly focus on the Survey of Consumer Finances<https://www.federalreserve.gov/econres/scfindex.htm>, but I can also work with students on the Consumer Expenditures Survey<https://www.bls.gov/cex/> or the Luxembourg Income Study<https://www.lisdatacenter.org/>. My hope is to get students with similar interests to work together and meet regularly. If you are interested in topics related to people's money -- what they own, owe, earn, and spend -- then please reach out to be part of the group. This might be a good topic choice for students interested in doing a thesis relevant to marketing or finance. We will meet weekly on Zoom. Students will enroll in Prof. Turner's thesis boot camp and meet with the working group. Let me know if you are interested or have questions. We will arrange a pre-semester Zoom later this month. Joe
