Good morning,
I hope you are both doing well.
I wanted to thank you both for your help with my job search.
I really need to find a new job since I am not employed anymore.
Unfortunately, HHS sent us all an email below on Monday 7/14 at 5:01pm saying that was our last day as federal employees.
As you can imagine, I was not feeling well the last couple of days... I expected this decision from the supreme court, but did not expect this is how I would be EVER let go from my federal job, with -1 minute notice. Shortly after our computers were locked, so some of my coworkers did not even get a chance to see this email.
The job market is very rough given the circumstances. For a few positions that I've applied to I received a notice saying that: "Due to the amount of received applications, talent acquisition team did not have a chance to review my application and qualifications."
I also hate it when I read online people saying how federal employees will receive a huge severance check - NOT TRUE - my severance is worth 3 weeks of my salary as I have exactly 3 years minus 15 days of federal service.
So much hate in this country. :(
If there is anything that you can think of regarding my job search, please let me know.
If you would rather discuss over the phone, feel free to call at 646-410-1328.
Thank you so much!
Best,
Iva
